I got a phonecall from Timi Ogunyemi (the only legit Prince of Africa I know) Asking me to join a group of cool and creative people for a weekend in Mayo surfing, Stand up paddle boarding, kite surfing and Climbing mountains all put on by the good people in Rockshore! An absolute cracker of a beer!!
I finished a shoot I had for The Hole In The Wall and drove to Louisburgh to meet everyone at the Atlantic Lodge run by Big Style. Absolute heroes every single one of them. The funniest, warmest and most caring crew you could meet! They showed us how to not get pulled away to Nova Scotia while Kite Surfing ( Excluding Yve Byrne who nearly sailed home to Carlow!) We SUPPED through Lough Doologh which was absolutely whopper!!! The whole weekend was captured by Joe Ladrigan and Ciaran Maguire and man did they capture everythiiiiiiiiing!
It was deadly hanging out with loads of creative people, photographers and bloggers. Such a brilliant mix of people. And I could not recommend a weekend in Louisburgh highly enough to anyone. Dingle seems to get most of the love but Louisburgh deserves the same love. A real hidden gem!! Look up the 'Big style' lads, grab a few Rockshore and get out and get some air into the lungs!!
